Firstly, there are nine close reading activities, or informational texts, about:
- An Overview of the American Revolutionary War
- The Boston Tea Party
- Thirteen Colonies
- The Siege of Boston
- The Battles of Trenton & Princeton
- Paul Revere
- Patrick Henry
- The End of the War & The Treaty of Paris
- George Washington
Also included is a great classroom display and sorting activity that is perfect for introducing students to some of the key events of the American Revolution. Great for class work, distance learning or home schooling. There are 29 posters or task cards that include many of the key figures and events from the Boston Tea Party to the Treaty of Paris which formally ended the war.
Then, there are two biography writing units about George Washington & George III. These units have been split into four separate lessons which will take students approximately 40-50 minutes each.
After, there are two informational text writing units that look into the American War of Independence and the Boston Tea Party. These units have been split into three separate lessons which will take students approximately 40-50 minutes each.
Also, there is an opinion writing unit about which founding father was the most influential: George Washington, Benjamin Franklin or Thomas Jefferson. This unit has again been split into three or four separate lessons which will take students approximately 40-50 minutes each.
Finally, two fun and engaging escape room activities about both the Thirteen Colonies and the Treaty of Paris help enhance your students knowledge even further.
