Firstly, there are five close reading activities, or informational texts, about:

• An Overview of Ancient Egypt
• Cleopatra
• Tutankhamun
• Ramesses II
• Thutmose III

Secondly, there are two biography writing units about Cleopatra and Tutankhamun. The units have been split into four separate lessons which will take students approximately 40-50 minutes each.

Then, our Ancient Egypt Empire Map Activities and Presentation brings history and geography to life. Students will explore the ancient lands of Egypt, uncover the secrets of places like Giza, Alexandria and Memphis, and trace the mighty Nile River.

Then, there is a great classroom display and sorting activity that is perfect for introducing students to some of the key events of Ancient Egypt. There are 30 posters or task cards that include many of the key events and periods from the period. The posters look great as a display in the classroom and the cards are a brilliant introduction to Ancient Egypt. The displays and cards come both with dates and without dates, so the students can research the dates online before sorting the timeline. The cards look even better when laminated.

Then, there is an informational text writing unit about Ancient Egypt. The unit focuses on key facts about the history of the ancient civilization that dated from 3100 BC until the Roman invasion of Cleopatra's forces in 30 BC. The unit has been split into three separate lessons which will take students approximately 40-50 minutes each.

Included also is a discussion based writing unit discussing who was the greatest leader from Ancient Egypt. The unit has been split into four separate lessons which will take students approximately 40-50 minutes each.
