Firstly, there are eight close reading activities, or informational texts, about:

  • An Overview of Ancient Greece
  • Alexander the Great
  • Socrates
  • Aesop
  • Homer
  • Aristotle
  • Ancient Olympics
  • The Peloponnesian War

Secondly, there are two biography writing units about Socrates and Alexander the Great. The units have been split into four separate lessons which will take students approximately 40-50 minutes each.

Then, our Ancient Greece Map Activities and Presentation brings history and geography to life. Students will explore the ancient lands of Greece and beyond, uncover the secrets of cities like Athens, Sparta and Delphi, and trace the mighty empire.

Then, there is a great classroom display and sorting activity that is perfect for introducing students to some of the key events and people of Ancient Greece. There are 33 posters or task cards that include many of the key events and periods from the first settlers in Greece to the end of the empire.

Then, there is an informational text writing unit about Ancient Greece. The unit focuses on key facts about the history of the ancient civilization that dated from the 8th Century BC, until its downfall by the Roman Republic in 142 AD. The unit has been split into three separate lessons which will take students approximately 40-50 minutes each.

Then, there is a discussion based writing unit discussing who was the most influential figure from Ancient Greece. The unit has been split into four separate lessons which will take students approximately 40-50 minutes each.

Finally, two fun and engaging escape room activities about both the Ancient Olympics and Ancient Greece help enhance your students knowledge even further.
