July Close Reading Comprehension Passages | 3rd Grade & 4th Grade
A book with ten close reading passages focused on key events in July from history or famous figures that were either born or died in the month. Each activity has an informational text with comprehension and grammar questions followed by an extension task, followed by a crossword puzzle and wordsearch activity.
The NO PREP reading comprehension activities are perfect for students in third grade or fourth grade. Students will learn about world history whilst developing their comprehension skills.

- The Apollo 11 Moon mission, which put Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin on the lunar surface on the 21st July 1969.
- One of the Seven Wonders of the World, Machu Picchu, which was rediscovered by Hiram Bingham on the 24th July 1911.
- The red planet of Mars, where the Perseverance Mars Rover was launched to on the 30th July 2020.
- The author famous for her Harry Potter books, J.K. Rowling, who was born on the 31st July 1965.
- The powerful ruler of Ancient Greece, Alexander the Great, who was born at some point in July of 356 BC.
